The BISPEAK 2025 program, themed “Own the Stage: Mastering the Art of Public Speaking,” was successfully held by the Student Resource Development Department of the Business Administration Student Association (HMPS Administrasi Bisnis). This initiative provided public speaking training for students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP). The program aimed to develop participants’ communication skills, self-confidence, and courage for speaking in public.

Structured in two main series, the program commenced with a Training Session on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the FISIP Undip Multimedia Room, followed by a Seminar on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the FISIP Undip Theater Hall.

BISPEAK 2025 featured four inspirational speakers with diverse professional backgrounds. They guided participants to understand the importance of voice and intonation as tools for positive self-expression, explore ideas to create authentic and meaningful content, and develop synergy between body language and voice for effective and memorable message delivery.

The program was not merely theoretical. Participants engaged in hands-on practice sessions, stepping into the roles of News Anchors and Podcasters in front of their peers and committee. These simulations provided a direct platform to practice speaking skills, train vocal intonation, and apply interpersonal communication techniques in a supportive environment. The activities proceeded in an active, dynamic, and highly interactive atmosphere between the speakers and attendees.

The results of BISPEAK 2025 demonstrate its success as a developmental program. It effectively raised participants’ awareness of the critical importance of public speaking and communication as essential soft skills in both academic and professional spheres. Participants gained a solid understanding of public speaking fundamentals, improved their ability to control their voice and expressions, and demonstrated newfound courage to speak in public. Furthermore, the program trained participants in quick thinking, intra-group collaboration, and the skill of crafting messages for optimal audience reception.

Through this initiative, participants are expected to continue honing their speaking abilities on various platforms. BISPEAK 2025 served not only as a learning forum but also as a means of building resilient character and mentality. Moving forward, it is hoped that the BISPEAK program will continue sustainably with more innovative concepts and wider student participation.

BISPEAK 2025 successfully established itself as a learning platform that not only enriched knowledge but also fostered participants’ self-confidence and communication skills. Through the insightful speaker sessions and practical exercises, participants were able to grasp the true meaning of public speaking as an art that unites clarity, expression, and empathy. The success of this event stands as a tangible testament to the commitment of the Student Resource Development Department of the Business Administration Student Association in supporting student soft skill development. Through BISPEAK, students are empowered to become a generation of youth who are courageous speakers and critical thinkers.
