PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT) held a National Community Development Seminar on 5 September 2024 at the FISIP Universitas Diponegoro Auditorium, attended by Business Administration students from the 2022 to 2024 cohorts. This general lecture aimed to provide knowledge about implementing Comdev programmes in the field and allow students to interact with Comdev practitioners. Additionally, this activity aimed to open opportunities for participants to discuss with academics who are experts in the field of CSR, thereby benefiting their future career development.
PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT), a major state-owned enterprise and source of pride for Indonesia, has significantly contributed to advancing the agricultural sector through producing high-quality fertilisers and a range of impressive achievements. These include being the only fertiliser company to obtain an environmentally friendly certificate and receiving the Proper Gold Award seven times since 2016. The Pupuk Kaltim Comdev programme focuses on coral reef conservation and mangrove planting in the coastal area of Bontang City, East Kalimantan. With a strong work ethic and state-of-the-art production equipment, Pupuk Kaltim continues to contribute to advancing Indonesia’s agricultural and environmental sectors.
Through this general lecture, students gained new knowledge that is useful regarding community knowledge and empowerment through Community Development by PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT). Students were also very enthusiastic about attending this general lecture.
