About Business Administration
The Business Administration Study Program is one of the Study Programs under the Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Diponegoro which aims to organize a learning process of business administration science that fosters the students’ ability to develop creative, innovative, and solutive ideas, through scientific processes and approaches, and are ethical to produce graduates who are able to take part both nationally and internationally with good moral characters.
The target of the learning process in the Business Administration Study Program is to produce graduates who are able to apply science / technology and arts that are effective and work out for the society and business institutions, based on good governance in the field of business, business governance planning, and engineering business governance with an excellent quality.
The Undergraduate Business Administration Major was established in 1970 and has an A accreditation.
Track Record
The Bachelor of Business Administration (AdBis) has been established since 1970. So that, it has a track record of the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi and a significant contribution to the world of education. The A accreditation by the BAN PT for The Business Administration Study Program shows the high quality of education that is carried out comprehensively. Currently, The Business Administration Study Program has 818 students consisting of Regular class and the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) students. The IUP itself consists of international program classes that have accepted students since 2019.
The following description explains the Business Administration’s track record in the fields of education, research, and community service, as well as the student affairs, alumni, and cooperation.
Education
The Bachelor of Business Administration Study Program has a good profile of teaching staff, where there are 21 lecturers with 52% of whom are doctoral qualified, namely Prof. Sudharto P Hadi, Prof. Naili Farida, Prof. Ari Pradhanawati, Dr. Ngatno, Dr. Sri Suryoko, MSi, Dr. Widiartanto, MAB, Dr. Hari Susanta Nugraha, MSi, Bulan Prabawani, PhD, Dr. Reni Shinta Dewi, MSi, Dr. Andi Wijayanto, MSi and Dr. Sari Listyorini, MAB. In addition, the functional position profile of the Business Administration is also good, where there are 3 professors, 5 head lecturers, 11 lecturers, and 2 expert assistants.
In order to improve the quality of its education, the Business Administration Study Program does not only provide its students with limited knowledge. We facilitate our students with a Student Exchange Program at the National and International level as well as Business Practices (Internships). At the national level, we had accepted 97 inbound students from the Permata Sakti Program (Indonesian National Student Exchange Program), and sent 3 students (Atifa Alif Febriyanti, Ifa Nur Fadlilah, Oktavina Dzinuha Ananda) to take part in the sit-in courses at Universitas Hasanuddin and Universitas Padjajaran.
At the international level, the Business Administration Major has been actively accepting and sending students for the past 10 years for exchange students program and summer courses. the Business Administration Major had sent 4 exchange students in 2020 and 8 students are ready for the 2021 program. While, 1 student (Dwi Rahayu Prihandini) had left for the Vietnam Student exchange program, and several others are planned to leave in 2021. The target universities include the National Tsing Hua University (2nd best university in Taiwan) which had accepted 2 students of the IUP Business Administration program (Kaulian Ponty and Dwi Gita Seno), followed by the Istanbul Aydin University which had accepted 2 IUP Business Administration students (Naufan Hafi Fauzi and Nur Amalia Zahra), the Gyeongsang National University that accepted 2 students (Hanun Aisyah and Lysandra Bryna Hanwari), the Chung Ang University that accepted 2 students (Khalisa Anjaina Azka Athiyya and Anissa Rizqi Adha), and the Dong Ah University which accepted 2 students (Hanin Aulia Rasyid and Rayhan Praditya Oktavianto).
The Bachelor of Business Administration is ready to carry out the Kampus Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning Campus) program with its student exchange program. We have opened international classes since 2019 and have sent students to get international exposure, including to the National Tsing Hua University, National United University in Taiwan, Youngsan University, Myeongji University, Chung Ang University, Gyeongsang National University and much more in South Korea, as well as the Aydin Istanbul University in Turkey. With the presence of the International Business Administration class, there will be more opportunities to carry out the Student Exchange Program in the future with the international language competencies that IUP students already have.
The Business practice or the internship program is a compulsory subject that students must take. This program is meant so that students have practical experience and the experience on studying outside the campus. For this reason, there have been hundreds of internship companies partner in the private sector both at the local and national levels that can accept our student, including PT KAI, PLN, Bumiputera, BNI, BPD Central Java, PDAM, TELKOM, and various other private companies. Even during the pandemic, The Undergraduate Business of Administration Major had established an internship collaboration with the alumni, namely the Forbes Witjaksono Young Entrepreneur, which was attended by 49 students intensively and online. In 2020, the Business Administration Major had sent a total of 147 students to join the internship program at various companies.
